CONUNDRUM

WRITTEN AND DIRECTED · BY PAUL ANTHONY MORRIS

Playing from 21 November - 6 December 2020

CONUNDRUM Conundrum is an intimate tale of liberation, introspection and bliss giving us a unique insight into the incredible mind of a man trapped in a society that has not yet evolved. Having resolved to conduct a personal life review to critique the inequality of society, our protagonist, Fidel, becomes alarmed by the prospect that he may also be responsible for undermining his own well-being. Perplexed by this conundrum, Fidel embarks upon an epic journey to wrestle with some of life’s most fundamental questions; Who am I and why am I here?

TheatreVision

TheatreVision™ is a new genre that we have been developing which combines a variety of filmmaking techniques to enhance both the objective and introspective notions of the narrative without compromising the fundamental tenets of our theatrical tradition.

This synergy of objective and introspective realities enables us to augment the meta-physicality of the play in direct juxtaposition with the audience’s optimism and fears. However, what is unique about our genre, is the new perspectives and insights that our audience will gain by experiencing, up close, the emotionality of the character in certain instances of our narrative.

The aim with TheatreVision™, is not to try to bend or force the discipline of filmmaking into theatre, but rather to identify and apply skilfully aspects of the filmmaking process, to better serve our theatrical vocabulary.
